Bridge Replacement Project Gets Underway Tuesday in Aurora
Sheffer Road between Tollview Avenue and Becker Road will close during the construction project.

AURORA, IL - A bridge replacement project on Sheffer Road over Indian Creek is scheduled to start Tuesday, according to a city of Aurora news release.
During construction, Sheffer Road will be closed to thru-traffic between Tollview Avenue and Becker Road. Signs were installed on Sheffer Road last week notifying motorists of the impending closure. The marked detour route will utilize Farnsworth Avenue, Indian Trail and Felten Road. Delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible, during the construction period, according to the news release.
The project will include the replacement of the bridge, widening of the roadway and the addition of a new water main and storm sewer. Work is scheduled to be completed in October, weather permitting.
