Broken Water Main Closes Simmons Middle School
School officials stayed onsite to dismiss students who arrived after the announcement.
AURORA, IL --- Classes were closed at Simmons Middle School in Aurora Friday after a water main broke inside the building. School officials announced the closure early Friday morning.
A post on the East Aurora School District 131 Facebook page indicated that building staff would be onsite at the school to assist students who had already arrived.
Officials did not indicate whether classes would resume on Monday.
