
Aurora is celebrating the Fourth of July with a fireworks show in downtown Aurora the night before the official holiday. The best viewing, according to city officials, is available at the Aurora Transportation Center and McCullough Park.
Food trucks will be stationed at both areas. DJ Suave Smooth will provide the music at the Aurora Transportation Center, 233 N. Broadway, and DJ Pena will spin the beats at the park, 150 W. Illinois Ave.
On Independence Day, a parade will travel through downtown Aurora beginning at 10 a.m. The procession will begin at the intersection of Benton Street and Broadway. For best viewing, the reviewing stand will be located in front of the David L. Pierce Art and History Center, 20 E. Downer Place.
