CYT CHICAGO ANNOUNCES THE AURORA/DUPAGE SPRING 2026 SHOW PRODUCTION
CARY, lIlinois, April 3, 2026 - CYT Chicago, the largest CYT branch in the United States, announces the musical production preparing to take the stage for the Aurora/DuPage Spring 2026 session, featuring 92 area students, ages 8 - 18.
NEWSIES: Set in New York City circa 1899, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right! Join us for this fictional retelling of the historic first strike ever carried out by kids! The Aurora/DuPage chapter school day performance is May 21 @ 9:30am. The public performances are May 22 @ 7pm, May 23 @ 2pm & 6pm, and May 24 @ 2pm, 2026, at Batavia Fine Arts Centre, Batavia, IL.
