Celebrate Puerto Rican Culture, Heritage In Aurora

The annual festival features live music, food, and a parade that steps off Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

AURORA, IL — Aurora will host its 46th Annual Puerto Rican Heritage Festival July 28 and 29, bringing authentic Puerto Rican fare, music, and dress to RiverEdge Park. The festival will kick off at 12 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday and features a parade and live musical performances from local and Puerto Rican bands and DJs.

The festival and parade will be co-emceed by Mike Oquendo and Jalitza Martinez. The dynamic music lineup includes:

  • Los Sabrosos del Merengue
  • Nabori
  • DJ Titto Latino
  • Africaribe
  • Tono y sus Campesinos
  • Bachata Pura
  • La Obra
  • Chicago Latin Groove

The most anticipated part of the Puerto Rican Heritage Festival, the annual parade, will step off from the intersection of Benton and River Streets at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, so be sure to snag a viewing spot early.
