Charity Blooms Spring Fest Includes Egg Hunt, Pet Adoption

The event, with free admission, will celebrate spring at the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry Community Garden.

AURORA, IL — Spring is here, and so is Charity Blooms' Spring Fest, set to take place at the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry Community Garden April 10.

With free admission, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Aurora urban farm, located at 834 N. Highland Ave. in Aurora.

Egg decorating, an egg hunt, an adult scavenger hunt, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and a pet adoption by Aurora Humane Society will all be taking place during the fest. Guests can also enter for a chance to win a children's electric car.

Driven by volunteers, Charity Blooms is a nonprofit organization that partners with local agencies to bring fresh produce to the community. Not only does the group help get quality produce to families in need, but it also manages community gardens and teaches locals how to grow their own produce.

People interested in attending the event can register on the nonprofit's website. The event is limited to 100 children, according to organizers.
