Child Porn Charges For North Aurora Man After Police Search Home
Police said they found photos and videos depicting child pornography last week at the home of a 48-year-old North Aurora man.

NORTH AURORA, IL — A North Aurora man is facing multiple felony charges after police alleged they found child pornography on his phone and other devices.
Michael Pauls, 48, of the 600 block of Hammer Lane, was arrested Thursday evening and charged with four counts of possession of child pornography, according to Kane County court records.

The Aurora Police Department opened an investigation in June after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an email account that contained suspected child pornography, according to a news release.
The investigation was transferred to North Aurora police three weeks ago after they learned the account was linked to Pauls, police said.

Police said they searched Pauls’ North Aurora home Thursday and found two pornographic videos and two pornographic photos depicting minors. Pauls was charged Friday and held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center before posting 10 percent of his $75,000 bail to be released.
