Chriskindlmarket Season Is Almost Here: Aurora's First Market Starts In 1 Week
More than 30 vendors will be set up at RiverEdge Park selling gifts, crafts, hot beverages and traditional German food.

AURORA, IL — As November hits the calenders, many already have the holidays on their minds. In Aurora, that means its first Christkindlmarket is opening in just a week.
Taking place at RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway, the Aurora market will be the Christkindlmarket family's only location outside of Chicago this season, city officials said.
Opening Nov. 18 and running through Dec. 24, Christkindlmarket will run on weekends, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. The market will also hold special hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19 through Wednesday, Dec. 21.

At the popular German-themed outdoor market opening during the Christmas shopping season, more than 30 vendors will sell gifts, crafts, ornaments and traditional German food and hot beverages. The family-friendly event is "perfect for all age groups," city officials said.
Ahead of the event, organizers released a map of vendors that will be set up at RiverEdge Park. A detailed listing can be found on Christkindlmarket's website.

In Chicago this season, Christkindlmarket will be held at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St., and at Gallagher Way in Wrigleyville. Naperville and Oak Brook have hosted Christkindlmarket in past years.
