Christkindlmarket Will Close Early Due To Incoming Winter Storm

While the season for Christkindlmarket in Aurora and Chicago was cut short, the market in Wrigleyville will finish its run starting Monday.

AURORA, IL — Christkindlmarket in Aurora and Chicago will close at 4 p.m. Thursday and remain closed Friday and Saturday due to the "dangerous weather conditions" expected ahead of Christmas, officials announced.

This marks the end of the season for both markets, which were originally scheduled to run through Dec. 24.

The Wrigleyville location, held at Gallagher Way, will not operate Thursday but will be open daily from Dec. 26 to 31. Guests can enter the market for free and explore a variety of traditional foods and beverages as well as hand-crafted ornaments, toys and gifts from local vendors.
