Cocaine, Xanax, Cannabis, Gun Found In Aurora Home: Police

Two men were arrested after a search of the house.

AURORA, IL — Two men were arrested Friday after the Aurora Police Department's Special Operations Investigators, with the help of community policing and K-9 officers, found "over 19 grams of cocaine, 362 grams of cannabis, about 54.50 grams of cannabis wax, over 1200 Xanax pills, a .380 handgun, drug paraphernalia and other assorted item" while executing a search warrant at a home in the 900 block of Fenton, police said this week.

Lewis C. Garcia, 55, was charged with felony resisting the police after his attempts to keep officers from entering the home resulted in minor injuries to one officer, police said. Miles J. Garcia, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Additional charges are possible and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
