University of Iowa awards degrees to Aurora students

The University of Iowa awarded nearly 2,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students degrees at the close of the 2022 fall semester. Eleven percent of the undergraduates graduated with multiple degrees and, as a group, undergraduates posted a 3.17 cumulative grade point average during their stay at Iowa.

Rebecca Peterson is one of 119 Coe College students named to the dean's list

Coe College is recognizing its highest-performing students as members of the Dean's List, including Rebecca Peterson, who is currently among this elite group.

Peterson, of Aurora, IL has been named to the prestigious Fall 2022 Dean's List at Coe in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Tatiana Ocasio named to Kennesaw State president's list

Tatiana Ocasio of Aurora has been named to the Kennesaw State University Fall 2022 President's List.

Majoring in Criminal Justice, Ocasio is among 5,503 undergraduate students named to the Fall 2022 President's List.

To qualify, students must achieve a 4.0-grade point average and complete a minimum of nine credit hours.

Aurora resident named to Berea College dean's list

Anith Kharel, a resident of Aurora, Illinois, has been named to the Fall 2022 Dean's List at Berea College.

A student is named to the Dean's List who achieves a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least four total credits, a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours.

Aurora student travels to Rome for study abroad program

Sabrina Perera is among the 22 college students studying at the Lasallian Universities Center for Education in Rome, Italy for the 2023 Spring Semester.

The Aurora, IL, student is studying Criminal Justice BA at Lewis University.

Most of the LUCE students are from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois while three students are from Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York.

The students live in the Generalate, the motherhouse of the De La Salle Christian Brothers in Rome, Italy. Its extensive grounds and facilities provide a safe and ideal place to study and explore the city. Students will use Rome as their classroom as well as travel to Assisi and other sites.

Students will take courses that draw on the rich culture and history of Rome. Italian faculty will teach Italian, Italy Today, and Art Appreciation. All three credit-hour courses can be taken to fulfill the General Education requirements.

College of Holy Cross dean’s list includes Aurora student

Nora Brink of Aurora was named to the College of the Holy Cross Fall 2022 Dean's List.

A member of the Class of 2026, Brink was named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year.

To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
