Community Treasurer Selected To Serve West Aurora District 129
In the role, Greg Probst will examine the district's financial reporting and present his review to the Board of Education once a quarter.

AURORA, IL — A new community treasurer was appointed to West Aurora School District 129, officials announced Monday.
In the role, which started "effective immediately," Greg Probst will examine the district's financial reporting and present his review to the Board of Education once a quarter.
Probst currently serves as the vice president of finance and operations at the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, a nonprofit organization that administers individual charitable funds from which grants and scholarships are distributed to benefit community members. There, Probst's responsibilities include overseeing financial, operational and technological matters.

Community treasurer isn't the only volunteer role Probst holds. The West Aurora High School and Illinois State University grad also serves as acting vice president of the Aurora Historial Society and president of the Aurora American Legion Band.
"As a proud Blackhawk, I would like to thank the board for the opportunity to serve our community in this role," he said in a statement. "I believe that being able to provide feedback and insight through the lens of philanthropy and connections to wealth management will have a demonstrable impact on how we, as a community, are better together to ensure value for our taxpayers, donors and students."
