Company To Fund Funerals For Employees Slain In Aurora Shooting

Aurora plans to continue its #AuroraStrong fund for the remainder of the week to provide additional assistance.

AURORA, IL — Mueller Water Products, the parent company that owns Pratt Manufacturing, has committed to fund the funerals of five employees who were slain in a mass shooting at the Aurora plant Friday. Aurora City officials announced the news early Tuesday and added that they will continue to keep the #Aurora Strong Community Fund open for donations throughout the week.

"As the families continue through the funeral planning process, we hope these additional funds will ease some of the financial burdens as they move forward in life," city officials posted on Facebook.

A sixth employee who was injured in Friday's massacre was home from the hospital as of Monday, according to Daily Herald.
