AURORA, IL — With holiday gatherings and the emerging omicron surge of coronavirus combining to send the demand for tests skyrocketing past supplies, an increasing number of Kane County residents have been seeking COVID-19 testing but have found it unavailable or difficult to obtain.
While cases are significantly up in Kane County, with 3,643 reported in the last seven days, deaths are down. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported less than 10 deaths in Kane County in the past week, down 38.46 percent from the previous week.
