Do U want to Lower Healthcare Premiums,U need to Shop Compare

Insurance co.are pushing consumers to shop for expensive Medical Procedures ,Providers ,Medicines to lower their Premiums.CVS Aetna merger

Insurance companies like Aetna,Humana,United Healthcare,Assurant Health decided to give their actual data for what was paid to different providers for different Medical Procedures to Health Care Cost Institute which used www.guroo.com to publish data by large cities and all states.

So U can find the Range for Costs of Hip Surgery,Knee Surgery or Colonoscopy or Mammogram for Illinois or Chicago.

Guroo tells U that Colonoscopy Facility costs vary by factor of more than 2.

1489 $ to 3625$ in Illinois -similar for Chicago.

Now it your job to find Who Charges 1489$ and Who charges 3625$.

Gastroenterologist Service Fees vary from 298$ to 477$ . Less than a factor of 2.

However Higher Charges for the Doctor says that Your Facility Costs will be hire because those doctors work for the Hospitals or High priced Providers.

Now U may think that Doctor who charges more must be better. Well Not true--- The Independent Doctor are generally better qualified. Check out the Credentials-Where they got their MD and where they got their training or Fellowship advanced training. Johns Hopkins Univ. or The Cleveland Clinic are both rated in top 3 in USA by US News & World Report.

Now--CVS Pharmacy announced that they would like to merge with Aetna Insurance.

If Justice Dept.does not object-then CVS would like to work with Aetna to Provide U with Lower Costs Options for Medications which is a big part of your Healthcare bills pushing your Premiums Higher.

Do U see what is happening?

Many Providers have become Monopolist like some hospitals. They are requiring Medicare or Aetna or UHC or Humana to pay more for Medical Procedures and the doctors fees.

NY Times cariied an article in Feb.6,2015: "When hospitals buy Doctors,Patients Co-pays go up". The article cited Cardiac Sonogram done in an Independent Cardiologist office--Medicare approved a charge of 189$ for this Sonogram done in independent cardiologist office. So U had to pay 38$ Co-Pay.

Now the same Cardiologist gets bought out by a Hospital, then Medicare has to pay for the same Sonogram done in old office-459$ to Medicare. 20% Co pay equals 90$ . So now U have to pay 90$ compared to 38$.

Now monopolies have gone up-with Less Competition--Healthcare costs have gone up.

Some of U are too young to remember that in 70's,there was Only One Telephone Provider.

AT&T had monopoly for many years-Result: Higher Prices-Poor Quality Service.

In 80's Telephone Monopoly was Ended-- now U have several competitors offering U great deals.

Result: Lower Prices , Better Quality Service.

In 70's there was nothing to shop around. AT&T told U the price--your option was to get it or Remain without a telephone and use Outside Tel.and put a quarter etc.

Not Funny: In Healthcare--U CAN SHOP around and find doctors who charge Less and are Better qualified.

One Example: Call 630 232 2025 or go to www.mullickmd.com See How much U can save?

Thousands of $.

Well If U choose this doctor--your premiums in future will be lower.

Do U know Insurance co.like Blue Cross and Cigna helped this doctor build Certified Office based Facility for Colonoscopy,Endoscopy ?

So Insurance co.are trying their best--Now U must Shop Around.
