East Aurora Hosts Upcoming Flu, COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

East Aurora High School will serve as a vaccination site for people to get their flu and COVID-19 vaccines at two upcoming clinics.

AURORA, IL — East Aurora High School will become a vaccination site where people can get their flu and COVID-19 vaccines. Partnering with VNA Health Care, the first clinic will be held Dec. 19, and the second will take place Jan. 17.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days, people wanting to get vaccinated can visit the school, at 500 Tomcat Lane, and choose between the flu shot and first, second and third doses of the COVID-19 shot — available from Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson.

According to the flyer, the third dose and booster shots will be available for immunocompromised and select people, respectively.

Flu vaccines will be available to people ages 4 and older, and the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to people ages 5 and older. A parent or legal guardian must accompany kids younger than 17 years for either vaccine.

The first clinic will take place in the school's main gym, and the second will be held in the field house.
