East Aurora School District 131 Conducted Cheer Competition At East High

Congratulations to all our winners and participants! And a big thank you to the East High cheer leading squad and their coaches.

On February 22, District 131 held its district-wide elementary cheer leading competition at East High. Cheerleading teams from nine schools participated, including Hermes, Johnson, Beaupre, Dietrich, Krug, Barwell, Allen, Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy and Oak Park. The East High varsity cheer team also performed. What a great day of performances for the big crowd of families on hand!

For the first time ever, there was a tie for first place! After the judges took extra time to double and triple check scores, the results showed that Krug and FRMA tied for first place! This is FRMA’s third consecutive first-place win at this tournament. FRMA is coached by Kimberly Stolpestad and Krug is coached by Chardon Hill. Johnson took second place, coached by Janeen Corbin, followed by Bardwell in third place, coached by Samantha Hagedorn. Congratulations to all our winners and participants! And a big thank you to the East High cheer leading squad and their coaches for their support the event!
