Edward-Elmhurst midwives expand hours in Aurora, Lombard, Oak Park

The midwives specialize in low-risk pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care and care during all stages of a woman's life.

Effective October 1, Midwifery & Women’s Health of Elmhurst Clinic is expanding office hours at its locations in Aurora, Lombard and Oak Park, making it even more convenient for women to access midwifery services. Hours of service remain the same for the Elmhurst location.

Midwifery & Women’s Health new hours:

  • Aurora, 122 N. Eola Rd.: Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. (expanded afternoon/evening hours)
  • Lombard, 130 S. Main St. (Edward-Elmhurst Health Center): Tuesday/Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. – noon (expanded daytime hours)
  • Oak Park, 1100 Lake St.: Monday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Thursday, 3 – 6 p.m. (expanded daytime and evening hours)

The hours remain the same at the Elmhurst location, 1200 S. York St. (Center for Health on the Elmhurst Hospital campus): Monday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Tuesday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Wednesday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, 1 – 4 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The midwives of Elmhurst Clinic are advanced practice nurses (APNs) who are nationally certified and licensed by the state of Illinois as certified nurse midwives (CNM). They specialize in low-risk pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care and care during all stages of a woman’s life.

Midwifery supports women with low-risk pregnancies to have a personalized delivery experience that offers alternative comfort measures, such as warm water hydrotherapy for labor and birth, in addition to traditional pain management options. Elmhurst Clinic’s midwives deliver babies at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Rd.
