Elderly Aurora Man Sexually Assaulted Child: Authorities

AURORA, IL — A 79-year-old Aurora man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child younger than 13 years old. Inocente Delgado, of the 500 block of Binder St., pleaded guilty Monday to felony charges of predatory criminal sexual assault.

According to a press release from Kane County State's Attorney's Office, Delgado sexually assaulted the victim, whom he knew,between 2008 and 2016.

Delgado will get time served for the 447 days he served in Kane County Jail before his sentencing. He must serve 85% of his sentence before he becomes eligible for parole.

Upon his release, Delgado must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
