Ex-Aurora Principal Guilty Of Failing To Report Abuse: Report
This is the second such instance at District 131 in less than a year.

AURORA, IL — An ex-Aurora District 131 principal has been found guilty of failing to report known abuse of a student to authorities. Matt Willigman, 42, of Geneva, was found guilty of Tuesday of violating the mandated reporter law when he was principal at O'Donnell Elementary School, Daily Herald reports.
The charges were brought up against Willigman after a child's stepfather spoke to Willigman about abuse of his stepchild by a social worker. According to Daily Herald, Willigman said, "I didn't (call DCFS) at the time because I didn't have anything to go on and I didn't want to start throwing the guy's name around."
Willigman is set to appear in court on Jan. 28 for sentencing.
