Facebook Watch Series To Cover Timmothy Pitzen Case
Aurora boy Timmothy Pitzen's disappearance will be part of an upcoming Facebook series that follows the search for missing children.

AURORA, IL — Timmothy Pitzen has been missing since May 2011, but his case is about to get a fresh audience with the help of a new Facebook Watch series called "Vanished." "Vanished" will debut with Pitzen's story on Dec. 26.
The Aurora teen, then 6, was last seen with his mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen. Fry-Pitzen was found dead in a hotel room in Rockford days later after taking her own life. She never told anyone the whereabouts of her son.
The Pitzen case was thrust into the national spotlight again this past April, when a man falsely claimed he was the long-missing Pitzen. Pitzen's family later asked the public to forgive the man for the hoax.
