'On The Fox' Comedy Fest To Debut In Aurora In April

The inaugural comedy fest will feature four days of improv, stand-up, and sketch.

AURORA, IL -- Aurora will hosts a four-day festival of local improv, stand-up, and other hilarious acts in April for its first-ever On The Fox Comedy Festival. The four-day extravaganza will run from April 4 through 7 and feature a live album recording by Rockford native and comic Scott Galvin, a performance by Metea Valley High School Improv, and a stand-up showcase from A-OK Comedy.

“Our goal is to showcase high-quality regional talent at outstanding venues in downtown Aurora," festival organizer Matt Drufke said in a news release. Drufke, who produces the Still Not Friday stand-up show at Two Brothers Roundhouse, which Drufke called "one of the best venues for live entertainment in the suburbs, period."

Two Brothers Roundhouse will host Scott Galvin's comedy album recording to kick off the On The Fox Comedy Festival on April 4. The four-day festival will also include events at David L. Pierce Art & History Center and Gillerson's Grubbery.

The idea for On The Fox Comedy Festival began in 2017, when organizers earned $5,000 in a crowdfunding campaign to spearhead the inaugural event. Those who contributed to the fund will receive perks, including special seating during select shows throughout the fest.

There is no charge for admission to On The Fox Comedy Festival, but those who attend are encouraged to register via Facebook.
