Fox Valley Mall To Host Sensory Bunny For Kids With Special Needs
The sensory-friendly program, taking place before the mall opens, encourages families to visit the Easter Bunny at their own pace.
AURORA, IL — A Sensory Bunny will visit Aurora's Fox Valley Mall Sunday to give children with special needs and their families an opportunity for some fun and photos ahead of Easter on April 17.
The special Easter Bunny will be at the mall, 195 Fox Valley Center, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sunday — before the mall opens — in the spring garden on the lower level, near Macy's.
The sensory-friendly program, held in partnership with Autism Speaks, means music, fountains, lights and mall traffic are muted to limit distractions and instead create a calm and comforting environment. Organizers said the program is meant to encourage families to visit the Easter Bunny at their own pace and often for the first time.
