Fox Valley Restaurants To Gather For Food Pantry Fundraiser

AURORA, IL — More than 20 restaurants from around the Fox Valley are coming together Saturday to host a fundraiser for the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry.

The "Fill the Bowls" fundraiser will take place from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Gaslight Manor Banquets, 2485 Church Road in Aurora.

Guests will be treated to morning mimosas, a variety of soups, savory bites and sweet samplings from local chefs. The event will also feature live music, raffles, a drawdown and the annual Marie's Spirit Awards.

Tickets, which can be purchased online, cost $40 for adults and $12 for children ages 6 through 12. Admission is free for children under 5.

Proceeds will support program expansion initiatives and power Marie's Food Rescue Volunteers, who "nourish the community by picking up 40 donations from local grocers each week," organizers said.
