Galena Blvd. Walmart in Aurora to Close in October

AURORA, IL — The Walmart located at 2131 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora will close.

According to Walmart Director of Communications Delia Garcia, the closure was decided upon after a “rigorous review and consideration of various factors.”

The store will remain open and pharmacy customers can continue to pick up their prescriptions until the store closes on Oct. 28.

“Our pharmacy staff will be working with customers to transfer their prescriptions to another convenient location,” Garcia said.

Walmart will be working with store associates to identify suitable transfer opportunities to other area Walmart stores.
