Galena Boulevard Closed While Crews Fix Fallen Electric Wires: Police
Aurora police said it is unknown for how long it will take for the road, closed to traffic in both directions, to reopen Thursday.
AURORA, IL — Galena Boulevard, between East Avenue and Smith Street is closed to traffic in both directions Thursday morning.
The closure is a result of electric wires in the roadway — police did not specify how they fell. ComEd is on the scene, "but it is unknown how long the roadway will be closed," according to officials.
Police are urging drivers to take alternate routes during their morning commutes to avoid the closure.
