AURORA, IL — Gas prices are slightly down from the previous week, giving Aurora residents a little relief at the pump. As of Thursday, the average price for gas in Illinois is about $4.46 per gallon, according to AAA. That's down 3 cents from a week ago.

Nationally, the average Thursday was about $4.23 per gallon.

At around $4.41 per gallon in Kane County Thursday, gas prices were slightly under the state average.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Aurora is selling for $4.19 per gallon at Mobil, 2241 S. Eola Road. Here are some other places you can save in and around town:

  • Shell at 407 S. Lake St., $4.22 per gallon
  • Shell at 320 W. Galena Boulevard, $4.24 per gallon
  • Meijer at 818 N. Route 59, $4.26 per gallon
  • Thorntons at 2800 Ogden Ave., $4.27 per gallon
