Get $100 Gift Card For Turning In Gun At Kane County Event
At the event, hosted by the Kane County Sheriff's Office and Aurora Police Department, people can anonymously turn in guns for gift cards.
AURORA, IL — Turn in your guns, and get a gift card, Kane County officials said.
Local residents will have an opportunity to get rid of guns through an upcoming gun buy-back program. The Kane County Sheriff's Office and Illinois State Police are hosting the event from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 27-28.
For each gun turned in at the event, participants will receive a $100 gift card. The gift cards are sponsored by Community Christian Church.

Drop-offs will be anonymous and amnesty-based, officials said.
Guns must be unloaded and operational and should be transported in a case, box, bag or trunk of a car. The event will take place at the Kane County Health Department, 1240 N. Highland Ave. in Aurora.
