'A Glimpse Into Hindu Civilization' Exhibit Heads To Fox Valley Mall

AURORA, IL — More than 15 Indian-American organizations in the Aurora and Naperville areas are gathering to organize an exhibit on Hindu civilization that will debut at Fox Valley Mall April 16.

While the Hindu-American community continues to grow in the Chicagoland area, organizers said the "Darshana: A Glimpse into Hindu Civilization" exhibition is meant to increase awareness about Hindu culture and contributions to local communities.

"It's such a joy to be here and see this new display that the people within the Hindu community are providing to us about the Dharmic faith," the pastor of a church in Indiana said in a testimonial video about the exhibit. "Because as a Christian pastor, I knew some about the different Dharmic traditions, but I have grown to see how much more we have ... in common."

The exhibit, which has been traveling nationwide, will take place at the Aurora mall, 195 Fox Valley Center Drive, from 2-6 p.m. The showcase will give viewers a glimpse into the Hindu Dharma, a way of life, and the Hindu civilization, including traditions, culture, contributions and fun facts, organizers said in a news release.
