Gun, Cocaine, Illegal Cannabis Found At Aurora Man's Residence: ISP
Illinois State Police seized drugs and a firearm from an Aurora man following an extensive narcotics investigation.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man was charged with multiple felonies after an extensive narcotics investigation that yielded drugs and a firearm, Illinois State Police said.
ISP's Kendall County Police Assistance Team executed a search warrant April 13 in the 900 block of Rural Street in Aurora, seizing more than 120 grams of cocaine, 2,000 grams of illegal cannabis and cannabis products, and suspected MDMA pills, investigators said.
Leonel Valtierrez, 28, lived at the home, police said. He was taken into custody following the search. He was charged with the following:

- Unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent
- Unlawful possession of cannabis with intent
- Unlawful possession of firearm with no FOID
- Unlawful possession of a controlled substance

The armed violence charge stems from Valtierrez having a weapon while committing another felony, in this case, the multiple felony drug offenses, an ISP spokesperson told Patch.
Valtierrez remains in custody at the Kane County jail. His next court date is set for April 22.
