Homes Evacuated After Shot Fired On Maple Park Lane In Aurora
Police brought out their special response team after the suspect ducked into a nearby home Sunday evening.
AURORA, IL — The Aurora Police Department's Special Response Team was brought out Sunday night after shots were fired in the 1600 block of Maple Park Lane. The incident led police to evacuate homes after the armed suspect was seen ducking into a house in the area.
After the suspect disappeared, police used loud speakers to try to communicate with him. They say a woman came out of the home, but that the man did not come out.
Homes were then evacuated "out of an abundance of caution," according to a Facebook post from the Aurora Police Department.

Police then got a search warrant for the home and the person suspected to be inside. Once they went into the home, though, they did not find the suspect.
