Homestead Teachers Flipping Burgers Instead of Pages
Homestead School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support technology.
Teachers from Aurora School District, 308, volunteered behind the counter on Tuesday, March 5th, at the Aurora McDonald’s located on Eola, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for Homestead School.
Art teacher Brian Mills tended the apple pie box during the night while Assistant Principal Bobosky sold the pies.
Kristin Veach, Beth Hermann and Candy English, School PTA Representatives, did an outstanding job working the entire night to support Homestead. The proceeds from the sale of 188 pies went directly to benefit Technology at the school and fifteen percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales were donated directly to the Homestead PTA.

“We are proud to serve the families of the homestead Community through the McTeacher’s Night event. In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community.”
