Liberty Road Will Close Monday For Week-Long Construction

The road, from Eola Road to Commerce Street, will close at 9 a.m. Construction, through Friday, includes replacing a train track structure.

AURORA, IL — A portion of Liberty Street in Aurora will close at 9 a.m. for a week's worth of construction, city officials said Sunday. The road, from Eola Road to Commerce Street, will reopen at 6 p.m. Friday.

Canadian National Railway will be completely replacing the train track structure at Liberty Street. A new rubber crossing surface will also be installed during the construction period.

Detour signs will be posted to help drivers during the week.
