Man, 42, Missing Since Mid-September: Aurora Police

Police said James Gerding, who was last heard from Sept. 14, was known to frequent Aurora, Lisle and Montgomery.

AURORA, IL — A 42-year-old man known to frequent Aurora, Montgomery and Lisle has not been heard from for more than two weeks, according to Aurora police.

Officials said James Gerding was last heard from on Sept. 14. Police described him as 6-foot-4 and 170 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Police are asking for the community's help in locating the man. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Cox at 630-256-5500.

"If you see James, we ask that you do not approach him and to contact 911," officials wrote in a Facebook post.
