Man Dies After Being Shot Multiple Times Inside Trailer Home: Sheriff

AURORA, IL — A man died after being shot multiple times while inside his trailer home just after midnight Thursday, according to officials at the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the residence in the 800 block of Hill Avenue in unincorporated Aurora at about 1:20 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired. When they found the man, deputies applied first aid until Aurora Township Fire Department paramedics arrived.

The man, whose name and age officials have not yet released, was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Detectives have opened a homicide investigation into the shooting, and officials are asking anyone with pertinent information to contact the office's Investigations Division at 630-444-1103.
