Man In Stable Condition After Shooting On Aurora's East Side: Police
The man, who police believe was shot near McCoy Drive and Eola Road, was the second person shot in Aurora Thursday, officials said.
AURORA, IL — A man was shot on Aurora's east side Thursday night, according to police.
Officers believe he was shot in the area near McCoy Drive and Eola Road before he was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound, officials wrote at 9:38 p.m. in a post on Facebook.
"This investigation is on going and updates will be made as soon as they become available," police said.

In an update as 12:01 a.m. Friday, police said the victim was in stable condition.
The portion of road was processed as a crime scene, and traffic in the area was temporaily rerouted while evidence technicians worked, police said.

The man was the second person who was reportedly shot Thursday in Aurora. The first incident happened in the 1000 block of North Lake Street, Patch reported.
A person of interest was taken into custody after the gunshot victim was found, police said in an alert at 4:52 p.m. Thursday.
