Man Tosses Gun After Causing 4-Car Crash In Aurora: Police
Police say the man caused a chain reaction crash, got out and threw a gun into a ditch.

AURORA, IL — Police arrested a man for allegedly throwing a handgun after fleeing from a four-vehicle crash he allegedly caused. Linneal L. Washington, 39, of the 300 block of Superior St., has been charged with five counts of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon.
The chain reaction crash took place around 3:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Lake St. and Rathbone Ave. Police say witnesses saw Washington running through traffic after the crash and tossing a gun into a ditch.
Washington then returned to his car, police say, and waited for officers to respond the collision. When witnesses told police what they saw, police searched for the handgun and found it "inside a pouch of a ditch" near the scene of the accident.
