15-Year-Old Who Ran Away From Home Found: Aurora Police

Police said Monday evening the boy, who had been missing since Sunday afternoon, was "recovered safely."

AURORA, IL — A 15-year-old boy who ran away from home Sunday afternoon has been "recovered safely" Monday evening, Aurora police said.

In a post on Facebook Monday morning, police said the teenager left his house on the near east side of the city around 1 p.m. without permission from his parent. But as of 5:30 p.m., he was safe, the department said in an update.

"Thank you for the support," police wrote in the post.
