Missing Aurora Teen, 16, Last Seen In January: Police

AURORA, IL — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 16-year-old Aurora teen who hasn't been seen since Jan. 22.

In a post on Facebook Tuesday, Aurora police described Zashawn Jefferson as 5-foot-6 and about 200 pounds.

Officials credited the three-month gap when they didn't alert the public about Jefferson's disappearing to "just recently [receiving] permission from Zashawn's guardian to make a social media post."
