New Books Delivered To Elementary, Middle School Students In D131
Bernie's Book Bank delivered eight books in individually packed bags for each student, district officials said.

AURORA, IL — Based in Illinois, Bernie’s Book Bank delivers new and gently used books to students in Chicagoland school districts to promote literacy and foster a life-long love of reading. The ownership for students from preschool to 6th grade to have in their hands books of their own to begin their personal library is an impactful beginning for children to “read today, lead tomorrow.”
The non-profit delivered eight books in individually packed bags for each student at the elementary level and for those in 6th grade in District 131. Students were encouraged to try out their range of titles this summer as part of Summer Reading and even trade books with their peers, as the books delivered ranged across genre and fiction and non-fiction alike.

Even with the school year wrapping up, East Aurora remains committed to fostering a love of learning, reading, and journeying through the educational landscape amongst our students at all levels.
