North Aurora Man Planned to Have Sex with Teen Girls in Hotel: Prosecutors
The 40 year old asked a woman in the hotel room if she was their mom. He was then arrested.

A North Aurora man is headed to prison after he pleaded guilty to traveling to an Aurora hotel to have sex with two underage teen girls.
Ruryk Michel, 40, of the 500 block of Hidden Creek Lane in North Aurora, received a sentence of 33 months in prison in exchange for a guilty plea to traveling to meet a minor.

Kane County prosecutors said that on Dec. 23, 2014, Michel went to an Aurora hotel planning to have sex with what he believed would be a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, according to the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. When Michel arrived at the hotel, he met a person he thought was the girls’ mother, confirmed that he wanted sexual favors, and was arrested by officers from Homeland Security Investigations and the Aurora Police Department.
In addition to the prison term, Michel must register for 10 years as a sexual offender in accordance with the Illinois Sexual Offender Registration Act.

According to Illinois law, Michel is eligible for day-for-day sentencing. He received credit for two days served in the Kane County jail. He had been free on $5,000 bond. Bond was revoked upon conviction.
