Passed Out Driver Found in Parked Car Along I-88, Charged With Fifth DUI: Police

AURORA TOWNSHIP, IL - A DeKalb man has been charged with his fifth DUI after police found him in his car and sleeping on the shoulder of Interstate 88 in Aurora Township with an “open alcohol bottle spilled on the passenger seat,” according to the Daily Herald.

Alberto Segura has been charged with Aggravated DUI/5, Aggravated DUI with a BAC over .16, transporting alcohol/liquor and driving while license revoked, according to online court records.

A passerby called police after spotting Segura sleeping in his car on the shoulder of eastbound I-88 at about 7:10 p.m. on Sunday, according to the newspaper. Police responded where they found Segura still sleeping and a breath test later showed Segura had a blood alcohol content of .28.

Segura is next expected in court on Friday.
