Person Fatally Struck By Train In Aurora: BNSF

BNSF Railway officials said the collision did not occur at a crossing.

AURORA, IL — A person was fatally struck by a train Aug. 25 in Aurora, railway officials confirmed to Patch.

The collision happened at about 9 p.m. Tuesday on the tracks near Spring Street and Lincoln Avenue. According to a BNSF Railway spokesperson, the collision did not occur at a crossing.

The train crew was not injured, officials said.
