Photos: Kids Hunt For 3,000 Eggs Scattered On Aurora Church Grounds
During Aurora Advent Christian Church's Egg Scramble Saturday, kids ran around to collect some of the 3,000 eggs hidden on church grounds.

AURORA, IL — Aurora Advent Christian Church held its seventh annual Egg Scramble on Saturday ahead of Easter. A total of 3,000 eggs were scattered across church grounds, many filled with candy and some with tickets to claim prizes.
The egg hunt began with Rev. Matt Mull, senior pastor, welcoming the roughly 175 attendees and recounting the biblical Easter story. At one point, his microphone failed, but he brought out a megaphone to continue his introduction, according to a news release.
The hunt at the Aurora church on North Edgelawn Drive started at about 10:30 a.m. Depending on age, kids were divided into three groups, which then each took a turn finding eggs.

Church congregants donated prizes, which included toys, sports balls, sidewalk chalk, kids' Bibles and gift cards, the release said. Volunteers staffed eight stations where kids claimed their prizes.
The event ended with families leaving with bags full of eggs and with children sorting through their loot and recycling the plastic eggs.
