'Producers' Audiences Donated $51K To Aurora Strong Fundraiser

AURORA, IL -- A recent run of "The Producers" at Aurora's Paramount Theatre resulted in more than $50,000 in donations to benefit families and survivors of the Feb. 15 shooting at Henry Pratt Manufacturing. City officials say the Paramount led a fundraising effort during the run to benefit the Aurora Strong GoFundMe campaign.

Patrons of "The Producers" generously gave a total of $51,754.10 to benefit the fund, which had earned more than $386,000 as of Monday.

The city plans to keep the Aurora Strong GoFundMe page active until March 31 to accommodate the continuing influx of donations and fundraisers from throughout the community. After the GoFundMe closes, you can still donate to the Aurora Strong Fund by mailing checks to Aurora City Hall | Aurora Strong Fund, 44 E. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60505 and putting "Aurora Strong Community Fund" in the memo.
