Rain Puts Damper On Aurora Summer Concert Series
The weekly Wednesday night concerts were set to start on June 12, but have been delayed by rain.
AURORA, IL — The Aurora Summer Concert Series was set to kick off on June 12, but opening night for the weekly concerts has been rescheduled due to rain on two separate occasions. The free concerts, set for Wednesday evenings, include musical performances, free dance classes, food trucks, and more at Millennium Plaza gazebo, 21 S. Stolp Ave.
Rainfall put a halt to the first two planned nights of shows, which Downtown Aurora Manager Marissa Amoni says has been "a bit frustrating since the series has been planned since the late winter months, and we were looking forward to warm summer days listening to music in the gazebo.”
If the weather cooperates, the Summer Concert Series will resume in July and will be held weekly at 6 p.m. through August 14. Concert goers can also enjoy snacks provided by a different food truck for each show.
