AURORA, IL — Emergency repairs are underway Wednesday afternoon after a sanitary sewer service collapsed, city officials said.

Excavation is required to fix the break at 1115 E. New York St. and will occupy both eastbound lanes of the thoroughfare, according to an alert published at 2:15 p.m. on Facebook.

East New York Street will be reduced from four lanes to two starting at 4 p.m.
