Send Military Troops a Gift From Home

AURORA, IL - The City of Aurora's annual "Gifts from Home" program assures all local military troops know they are always in our thoughts, especially around the holidays.

The decades-long Aurora tradition offers City residents serving in the military at home or abroad a one-pound gift box of mixed nuts along with a holiday greeting card from the community.

The City is asking families of Aurora service members to submit the following information:
• Active military member name and rank
• Complete military address as it should appear line-by-line
• Branch of service and current station
• Home address in Aurora
• Name, relationship and daytime phone of person submitting
The "Gifts from Home" submission form is available at

The submission deadline is Friday, November 18.
