Single Father Wins $200,000 Lottery Prize
When his son found out he said, "Daddy, we are rich!"

AURORA, IL - An Aurora man is $200,000 richer after winning the lottery in recent weeks.
Hector Duran won the $200,000 prize after scratching a Bingo ticket.
“I was at the store with my son buying some fruit when I decided to buy a Bingo ticket. I can’t believe I won $200,000,” he said when he presented his winning ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Chicago.

Duran was in his car when he used a quarter to scratch his Bingo ticket. When he realized how much he had won, he told his son, who then shouted from the back seat, “Daddy we are rich!”
Originally from Mexico, Duran, 38, is a single father. He currently works in the packaging industry. He plans to share the windfall with his parents, according to the press release.

“I have to take care of my family. This lottery win helps make that happen,” he said.
The winning Bingo ticket was purchased at Meijer, 808 North Route 59 in Aurora. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus, one percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
