Teavana Stores Closing In Illinois
Starbucks will close nearly 400 Teavana retail stores by spring 2018, according to the company.

Tea lovers, the time to stock up is now: Starbucks has announced it will close nearly 400 Teavana locations within the next year. The closures will eliminate more than 3,000 jobs, but Starbucks says it will offer employees at the mall-based Teavana stores positions at Starbucks locations. Seattle-based Starbucks has owned the chain, which was founded in Atlanta, since 2012.
In Illinois, Teavana has locations at Fox Valley Center in Aurora, Orland Square in Orland Park, Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, Chicago Ridge mall in Chicago Ridge, Woodfield mall in Schaumburg, Water Tower Place in Chicago, Deer Park, Old Orchard mall in Skokie, and Hawthorn Center in Vernon Hills.
In a statement issued Thursday to investors, Starbucks called the Teavana stores "persistently underperforming."
